Frequently Asked Questions

Founded in 2012, the Pamela D. Franklin Cultural Center for the Performing Arts is a registered 501(c)3 arts organization inspiring, educating and reinforcing a positive sense of cultural identity and self-worth of those we serve through the world of performing arts: music, dance, theater and creative writing.

Performing arts can teach people how to express themselves effectively, and can also be a tool to promote mutual respect of cultural differences, social justice, and environmental awareness; capture the imagination, stir the conscience and empower those we serve to be a positive influence in the global community.

We provide quality and diverse opportunities for shared artistic experiences. Performers attend master classes, research field tours, lectures and workshops. The tours will serve as a road-map for performers to share their experiences with the community during their Cultural Arts Series.

The PDFCCPA offers several signature programs such as Camp SOUL™ Performing Arts Boot Camps, the Performing Arts Academy, the Cultural Arts Series, ACTing Your Age™ Theater Workshops for Adults, and the semi-annual Youth Poetry Slam.

The PDFCCPA is governed by an all-volunteer group of board members with influence in the corporate, political, social, educational, financial, entertainment and community sectors.
